Talis is used by Victoria University of Wellington to create course reading lists and manage copyright compliance. All courses must use Talis to create and manage readings that have been copied for course reading lists.

Talis Basics

Getting started
To access the Talis Aspire system log into:
https://victoria.rl.talis.com/index.html with your VUW credentials.

You can refer to the Talis Aspire Library subject guide to:
  1. find out how to build a reading list in the Talis Aspire system
  2. to link the list to Blackboard
  3. to manage the use of the list in your course

When planning the Talis list for a course, review your reading and reference material for students. You will then need to think about what needs to be made available online, then added and linked through a Talis reading list. For more information see the Library guide "What do I put in Talis?".

Contact your Subject Librarian for training on how to use Talis Aspire and what needs to go into your Talis Aspire reading list.
