Turnitin Assignments

Turnitin(TII) is an anti-plagiarism tool used by the university. It generates a report from the Turnitin repository which checks for similarity of the assignment text to other entries. The marking tool in Turnitin is called Feedback Studio.
     Supported Browsers
       It is recommended to use Chrome or Firefox when using Turnitin.
       Safari and Internet Explorer are not supported by Turnitin.
     Accepted File Types and Sizes

Turnitin will accept a file:
  • that is less than 100MB;
  • that has a minimum of 20 words; and
  • that is less than 400 pages.

     Turnitin can generate Similarity Reports only for the following file types: 
  • HTML
  • Microsoft Word® (.doc/.docx)
  • PowerPoint (.ppt)
  • Hangul Word Processor file (.hwp)
  • OpenOffice Text (.odt)
  • Rich text format (.rtf)
  • WordPerfect® (.wpd)
  • Plain text (.txt)
  • PostScript (.ps)
