Video Assignments

About using VStream for video assignments
VStream allows you to set up special 'Assignment Folders' within your course where students can submit videos as part of their assessment.
How to set up the assignment folder
Instructions for setting up an assignment folder can be found on Panopto's website. You can watch a video that gives and overview of the process. Full instructions can be found on the assignment folders information page.
One thing to note is that the Assignment Folder might not be that obvious to your students as it will start with the year and course ID. You can rename the Assignment Folder by entering the folder and clicking the settings cog on the right of the screen. Click 'edit' next to the folder name and rename it to something like 'Assignment Folder' followed by the course code.
Linking to Blackboard's GradeCentre
We do not currently have a direct link between VStream and Blackboard grade center but it is possible to set up an assignment in Blackboard to provide a way for students to submit a link to their video in VStream. Setting up an assignment in Blackboard allows you to easily mark the video assignments and provide a grade and feedback.
Once a student has uploaded a video to the Assignment Folder in VStream they can click the Share button and then click Copy Link. This link can be pasted into a Blackboard assignment and submitted. When you are marking, simply click the video link to watch the recording.
